Notes on applied combinatorics

In light of Valentine's Day, my professor showed us how useful combinatorics can be if you are single.

Basically, if you cut to the chase, Miss Lonelyhearts reminds us of the mathematical reasoning behind why women are... so mysteriously attracted to men with mustaches.

What really got me was why she could only choose from squares and swingers. I also think we need to address the question of why she is looking for an unmarried swinger (at that point, does it really matter? you can't necessarily "swing" with just 1 person).

Oh, and Redbook thought it would be cute to use Venn diagrams.

Does this imply that
Sweetums-Snuggle-Bunny-Pookie-Monster is THE "super-secret code word"?

fail.

(also, green + yellow + red != pink)

Judging by their covers, I strongly recommend these two computer science books:

Oh look! That little brontosaurus is using a laptop!

Hogwarts

Sometimes, when you learn about computer crime, it becomes necessary for a professor to teach what he calls
defense against the dark arts.

watch out for the geek elite

This warning showed up in my introduction to programming languages class.

The end is near..

I knew something had to be done when a certain question was asked in my computer ethics class.

"what if hackers were just doing it for teh lulz?"
